Club History

On October 15, 2011, a unique social club was born in Columbus, Georgia. Two best friends and bandmates, Chad Sheppard and Allen Nasty, made a bold decision. Fueled by stark differences in moral beliefs within their previous bike club’s leadership, Chad and Allen embarked on a new journey, creating their own club.

Inspired by the masked skull logo of their band 213, Allen drew from history, taking inspiration from a band of rogue political fighters from the 1800s. The result? The birth of the Plug Uglies Wrecking Crew, a club founded on principles of camaraderie and supporting the music scene.

Their first official event, Ugly Fest, was hosted at Herman’s in Dothan, Alabama, setting the stage for their future endeavors. They began running shows at Eighty-Five, a Columbus bar, until the moment arrived to open their first Plug House. Quickly outgrowing it, they moved into the main Plug House, which served as their headquarters until November 2015.

Tragedy struck in March of the club’s founding year when Allen Nasty passed away in a gun accident at the first Plug House in Columbus. His memory lives on, as his ashes were spread worldwide by the club, family, and friends. Each year, in late March, the club unites to celebrate his life and his pivotal role in the club’s inception at Nasty Fest

Throughout time, the club’s reach expanded like wildfire, spanning Dothan, Montgomery, Mississippi, Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, Panama City, Bowling Green, Birmingham, Atlanta, Macon, and beyond, with nomads scattered far and wide.
